No, this is not a drawing course. However, I will be demonstrating all sorts of techniques with acrylic paint, watercolour pencils, watercolours, acrylic inks, palette knives and collage.
This course is designed to free up your creativity and give you a sketchbook pages bursting with ideas.
It will also expand your knowledge and skills of materials.
I will show you the techniques I use in my paintings. What is most exciting is that you will discover even more techniques through your own experiments which I encourage you to create.
Along the way we will also explore colour theory, composition and your use of the visual elements.
I clearly demonstrate how to make/create dynamic, interactive sketchbook pages.
I give you clear set tasks, with a beginning, middle and an outcome at the end.
I show you how to experiment with materials and understand their qualities. I demonstrate how to put those experiments to good use so they don’t sit around in your sketchbook not knowing what to do with themselves.
I ask you to write notes to yourself in your sketchbook. Giving you the opportunity to hone your understanding of your skill set.
I introduce you to the visual elements. This will help you explore your visual language.
I share with you the techniques I use in my paintings. Demonstrating how to expand your mark making skills with paint, ink, palette knifes and watercolour pencils.
I explain and use colour theory as part of nearly every task.
I reveal how to use composition as part of every task.
I inspire the creation of sketchbook pages that prepare you for creativity outside of your sketchbook. This reaches its pinnacle in the final creative task.
I will make all of the above easy to follow, inspirational and fun.
